Nordic Trail Walk for Oxfam

.
The Tauranga (New Zealand) based Nordic Walking team of Wendy, Colin, Peter, Steffi are once again preparing to take on the OXFAM Trailwalker Challenge of a 100km at Taupo on the 14th April 2007 (you may remember reading about the teams exploits via Nordic Walking News last year?).

This event is significantly orientated towards raising funds to overcome poverty and injustice around the world. In 2006 this same 4-man team, motivation4u, walked the 100km, they started together, stayed together & crossed the finish line together in 21 hrs 24 mins.

This year team motivation4u has set a target to walk the 100km in less than 20hrs. Their fundraising goal is set at $2000. Anyone interested in sponsoring the team can do so by visiting http://www.oxfamtrailwalker.co.nz/ and clicking on Trailwalkers –Teams...

...You’ll see "motivation4u", Team number 6, and then click on the BIG Green Screen TEAM FUNDRAISING – MAKE A DONATION.

Nordic Walking News wishes "Good luck" to:
